Kindness Week

During this special week, Rotarians will be out in the community performing simple but meaningful acts of kindness — from helping neighbors and supporting local businesses to surprising community members with small gestures that brighten their day. No act is too small to make a difference.
“Kindness doesn’t have to be complicated,” said Andy Green, President of the Rotary Club of Clinton. “A simple gesture can brighten someone’s day and strengthen the spirit of our entire community. We hope everyone in Clinton will join us in making February 16–21 a week filled with generosity and goodwill.”
Our Why
Random Acts of Kindness Week reflects Rotary’s core belief in “Service Above Self.” By encouraging kindness in everyday moments, we hope to create a ripple effect that extends far beyond a single week.
We invite everyone in the Clinton community to join us — whether by performing your own act of kindness, sharing stories of goodwill, or simply passing along a smile.
Together, we can make Clinton an even stronger, kinder place to live. Random Acts of Kindness Week offers a simple yet powerful way for the Rotary Club of Clinton to live out its mission, uplift the community, and remind others that kindness—when multiplied—creates lasting impact.
So, BE PART OF THE ACTION! Do acts of kindness…just because you can. Kindness knows no bounds. Add your acts to our social media and tag us! Our History of Kindness
In 2021, the Rotary Club of Clinton launched its first organized celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week with a simple goal: to inspire small acts that create a big impact in our community.
What began as a focused week of encouragement quickly became something much more. Our members embraced the opportunity to model “Service Above Self” in everyday ways — supporting local families, uplifting students and educators, partnering with community organizations, and surprising neighbors with thoughtful gestures that reminded them they are valued.
Since that first initiative in 2021, we have proudly continued this tradition each year. Random Acts of Kindness Week has become a meaningful part of our club’s calendar — not just as an event, but as a reflection of who we are. Each year, participation has grown, and so has the ripple effect of kindness throughout Clinton.
From handwritten notes and community donations to collaborative service projects and youth engagement efforts, our club remains committed to fostering a culture of compassion and connection. While kindness is something we strive to practice every day, this annual initiative serves as a powerful reminder that even the smallest act can brighten someone’s day and strengthen our community.
We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come — encouraging Clinton to lead with kindness, serve with purpose, and build goodwill together.
