One of the primary goals of the Rotary Club of Clinton is to continually grow and strengthen our membership by welcoming dedicated individuals who are passionate about service and committed to making a meaningful difference in our community and beyond.

It is an Honor to Be a Rotarian
Membership in Rotary reflects professional achievement, leadership, and a commitment to service above self. Prospective members should:
Hold (or be retired from) a professional, proprietary, executive, academic, or managerial position.
Be able to attend our weekly Monday luncheon meetings at 12:00 noon at Rastrelli’s and actively participate in community service projects.
Live or work within the Clinton area or surrounding communities.
Invitation to Apply
The Rotary Club of Clinton warmly invites qualified individuals to explore membership.
Typically, a prospective member is invited by a current Rotarian to attend two to three meetings to experience the fellowship, purpose, and spirit of our Club firsthand. Following these visits, the sponsor may submit the candidate’s name to the Membership Committee for consideration.
Individuals who do not yet know a Rotarian but are interested in joining are encouraged to contact the Club’s Board of Directors or email rotaryclubofclintonia@gmail.com for more information.
The Membership Process
Before submitting an application, the sponsor will review the responsibilities of membership with the candidate. These include regular meeting attendance, payment of dues, and a willingness to accept leadership or service roles as time allows. The sponsor assists in completing the application, which is then submitted to the Membership Chair and forwarded to the Board of Directors.
The Board evaluates each applicant based on their qualifications and alignment with Rotary’s values. If approved, the candidate’s name is presented to the full Club membership for concurrence. This process typically takes about three weeks, during which the candidate continues to attend meetings and become acquainted with fellow Rotarians.
Once approved, the candidate is formally invited to join. Upon acceptance and payment of dues, the new member is inducted during a regular luncheon meeting in a meaningful Induction Ceremony.
In addition, new members participate in a comprehensive orientation session outside of regular meetings to gain a deeper understanding of Rotary’s mission, structure, and Foundation—ensuring they are fully prepared to engage, lead, and serve.
